THENEXTNOW’s 2nd edition was held at Tumblr’s headquarters in New York City. After receiving close to 100 applications, the judges narrowed the field down to 30 finalists who presented to the judging panel, comprised of designers, retailers, branding experts, editors, and investors. At the conclusion of the competition, the designers and industry visitors took part in a panel on The State of Designer Jewelry Today, and THENEXTNOW’s administrators announced the winner, ARK, as all the participants adjourned.
While I’m creating my jewelry, the aim is to give people something that is not only beautiful to wear but to keep them going and empower them and uplift them. People need inspiration and something to empower themselves.
